Privacy notice

When you order, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, building or unit details, map pin and delivery instructions; your selected products, quantities, delivery window, order reference and payment status; and messages you send us. Avoid adding sensitive information that is not needed for delivery.

Our hosting and service providers may also receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and service logs. If you choose to use your device location to position the delivery pin, your browser asks for permission. You can instead search for an address or place the pin manually.

We use information to take and fulfil orders, process payments, arrange delivery, send order updates, answer questions, handle refunds, prevent misuse, maintain the website and keep records required by law. We rely on the applicable lawful grounds for those activities, including entering into and performing your purchase contract and meeting legal obligations. Where consent is required, we will seek it and you may withdraw it.

The current storefront has guest checkout and does not operate customer accounts or automated marketing or review-request campaigns. An order email is a service message about your purchase.

We share the information needed to provide the service with payment, hosting, delivery and operational providers. Checkout.com receives payment details and order information to process your payment; we retain payment references and status, not your full card number or card security code.

The website uses Vercel for hosting, Cloudinary for product images, Google Maps for address search and maps, Google Sheets for order records, Slack for internal order notifications, and Resend for transactional emails. Our authorised team and delivery staff receive the contact, order and address details needed to prepare, support and deliver your purchase. Provider services may have their own privacy notices.

We may disclose relevant information where required by law, to resolve disputes or protect lawful rights. We do not sell your personal information.

The site uses browser local storage to keep your bag, saved address, checkout progress and order or payment-return references available between visits and through a payment redirect. These records can include personal delivery and contact details. They are not advertising profiles.

Some records remain until you clear website data in your browser. On a shared device, clear the site’s stored data after use. Clearing it can remove your saved bag, address and local order view, but does not cancel an order or erase records we must retain. Payment and map services may use cookies or similar storage necessary for their services. We do not currently include advertising trackers in the storefront.

We retain information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, provide support, resolve disputes and meet applicable tax, accounting and other legal requirements. Retention depends on the record and its purpose. We do not promise that clearing your browser or requesting deletion removes information that must legally be kept.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect information and restrict access to people who need it for their work. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Tell us promptly if you believe information connected to your order has been misused.

Some service providers may process information outside the UAE. Where applicable data protection law requires safeguards or another lawful basis for an international transfer, those requirements apply. Contact us for information about the providers and transfers relevant to your order.

Email hello@butcherscounter.com to request access to or correction of your information, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, or to withdraw consent where applicable. Rights depend on the applicable law and may be subject to legal exceptions. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request is yours.

You can also raise a concern with the competent UAE data protection authority. Using the website does not waive your rights or amount to consent to unrelated processing. If we materially change how information is used, we will update this notice and provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
